SANTA SAYS THE MARKETS WERE GOOD

The Supreme Court has ruled that they cannot have a nativity scene in Washington, D.C. This wasn’t for any religious reasons. They just couldn’t find three wise men and a virgin.  – Jay Leno

Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays to All

Quick notes and then the markets off until after Christmas.  Yesterday, the Dow hit highs not seen since September 2008.  Oil continues upward, the dollar is falling off some as commodities continue their rise.

New claims for unemployment fell 3,000 last week – good sign.

Although previously owned home sales fell last month, new home sales in a report out today were up 5.5% – much better than expected.

Consumer Sentiment rose to 74.5 – very good sign and explains why Christmas sales are predicted to reach pre-crash levels this year.
